Have to disagree with you Stanley. I've been going to Taro for over a year pretty regularly and while the wait staff service can be patchy the quality of the food has always been exceptional. If you like sushi or if you want a food experience that is unique in new york then the omakase here is really something else. Yes the place doesn't look very fancy but in my opinion if the food is more important than what's on the walls then who cares? That's not to say the service is rude, it's always polite but some of the waiters are a bit slow. So sit at the sushi bar and order the omakase EVERY time. You won't regret it. Stanley ate in once and had a bad experience, don't judge this place by that. Every time I have been there the fish was so fresh it would melt in your mouth. Best restaurant in Brooklyn.
