As Kagome said, it's a little pricey but the Stone Park burger was good enough that I'll be going back again. The service was also very friendly and helpful.

Had great experiences both times, and it's now one of my favorites (taking the place vacated by Rose Water). The prix fixe is the best bargain in the neighborhood, but you have to get there before 7:30. Otherwise, the prices seem totally fair considering the high quality and nice ambiance. Try the bluefish cakes - I didn't know bluefish could be this delicious. The wine list is good, and the $19 Monte Antico is surprisingly good. I had a steak that was not bad but a bit tough. Everything else - appetizers, entrees, and desserts, has been great. The waitstaff is friendly and very attentive (even, in my weirdo opinion, overly so, but that style is probably cool by most people). The place has a great vibe and it's up there with Al Di La as one of my high-end go-to spots.

A new favorite. Wasn't all that impressed when it first opened (had a nice experience then, but it didn't seem quite worth the price), and I'm not crazy about the brunch (good but not as amazing as what my boyfriend cooks at home). But we tried it again for dinner a few months ago and have been back three times since. There isn't a vegetarian entree on the menu, but each time they have prepared a different special entree for me, and each time the flavors have been exciting and delicious (and the proportions generous). Good service, too.

Really one of the best, grown up restaurants anywhere in the borough. In terms of overall experience, food, wine and liquor program and clean decor, this restaurant is one of the few of Manhattan quality in Brooklyn. I have had consistently great expereinces here and would definately recommend it.

Apparently I can now write multiple reviews for a restaurant so I thought it would be most fitting if I wrote about Stone Park since it's my favorite restaurant in Park Slope and my original review doesn't do it justice at all. The first time I reviewed it was after my first visit there. I had a burger and it was good but I wasn't blown away. Since then I've been back many many times, usually for brunch.
The brunch at Stone Park is great. My favorite thing to get is the biscuits and gravy which is phenomenal. The hangtown fry is great as well if you like oysters, although it's a little heavy on the grease factor. It's pretty hard to go wrong for brunch here. Oh yeah, the smoked salmon and bagel: YUM!
Dinners at Stone Park have been consistently great as well. The scallops are delicious and the short rib mini burger appetizer thingy is so damn good that you'll be temptd to just order a couple of those for dinner. If you're not up for anything fancy the regular burger is always a good fallback too.
Lastly, the service has been consistently great (and a bit eccentric at times) and what more can you ask for than great food and good service? Nice atmosphere I guess... well, they've got that too!

Stone Park! They have a delicious brunch with my personal favorite being the smoked salmon and bagel. It comes with all sorts of goodies like tomato, chopped onion, chopped hard boiled egg, capers, horseradish and cream cheese. Their dinner is good as well, although as a fish-eating vegetarian, there aren't TONS of options. There will always be a decent soup and salad choice, and a yummy fish sandwich. The ambience is always nice and bustling, although crowded at times, and if you go for brunch, I'd recommend going early or being prepared to wait.

I don't know what has come over me but I now seem to have started enjoying hamburgers? I have been in the US for a long time and I can only assume that either the burgers have gotten better or I have become assimilated properly. What ever the cause may be Stone Park has really great hamburgers and I had one for brunch and it was awesome. And it goes to show the strength of this place that many had been telling me how great it was and then it ended up actually being great and not dissapointing as often is the case when a place gets some hype.

We went to Stone Park for dinner last night; it was our second visit after an excellent meal soon after they opened. This time, things weren't so smooth. While enjoying our drinks, a big roach crawled along the back of the banquette, right behind my aunt (who has a major roach phobia) and settled down in the crack between the cushions. Our waiter was also afraid and went into the kitchen to retrieve another server, who squashed it in a napkin, using my aunt's knife to get it out. The knife was placed back on the table after he did his business and wasn't replaced.
Nothing more was said of the roach incident (other than a not-very-subtle request that we call it a "waterbug") and there was no reflection of this on our bill. I think it was handled pretty horribly and was surprised that no one acknowledged the roach or comped us anything in return.
To top it off, my husband got a raging case of food poisoning last night. He's certain it was from the grilled octopus which he described as "gamy".

I am the chef and owner of Stone Park Cafe. I am writing to comment on "Nomi Malone's" post regarding an incident with a waterbug that she had while dining at my restaurant. This post has shown up on other message boards and has rightfully caused some indignation and disgust. Of course, I would fist like to apologise for any discomfort that was caused on the specified night and make it crystal clear that the incident described would never have been sanctioned or condoned by any manager at the restaurant. I have personally checked with all the managers here and my business partner and no incident of this kind was ever brought to any of our attentions. Had it been brought to our attention, proper action would have been taken and we would have taken any appropriate measure to make sure that our customer's concerns and problems were addressed. Stone Park Cafe takes cleanliness and sanitation issues very seriously and has far above average standards in that regard. What the waiter did under the circumstances is so grotesque and outside the realm of any proper decorum that I can only conclude that it was a gross oversight on the server's part or some kind of wild misunderstanding; it was certainly not a normal response. For that reason this incident should be judged for what it was: An isolated incident due to a renegade waiter's mishandling of an admitedly stressful situation and certainly not an indictment of our restaurant. I further urge the poster to contact me directly so that I can personally assure her that this is not the way we generally do business and address any health and safety concerns she might have.

I first went here when I saw the Sourdough French Toast on the menu. Was a disappointment: it's not sour at all. But dinners have been good; we always order the spinach salad with lardons, which is consistently excellent. Went last Sunday for brunch again, and the burger was unexpectedly great. Ordered it medium-rare, and was cooked perfectly. My only complaint is that it's supposed to come with mushrooms, and it did, but I counted a total of 4 pieces of mushroom. Oh well. I'll definitely go back, and maybe ask for extra mushrooms...
