Grubsnitch

Okay, so I've never actually been in the dining room. But I love the tiny, cozy bar in the back (entrance on 4th street). The drinks are on the pricey side, but it's the best place to have a cocktail and conversation for blocks around. There are two outdoor tables in the summer, where friendly bartenders will bring you drinks, and you can order from the restaurant menu (the fries, sprinkled with fresh rosemary and oregano, are fantastic).

Probably the best place in the slope to get a decent cocktails. Especially when my favorite bartender is working (don't know her name but she's awesome). Mohitos and snacks is the way to go their frensh fries are coverd with all kinds of excotic spices.

I've only been to the little bar in the back--awesome, quiet atmosphere and really fantastic, affordable food. The little steak thingies on the skewers are unbelievably good--how can they be so cheap?

been the once I liked it, better than moutarde - especially for the price. A bit pretentious but that comes with the territory.

The Absolutely favorite of the French places in the Slope. The food is wonderful the wine is well chosen and not over priced. The atmosphere is welcoming if you are in a group or just for a romantic diner. the bar in the back can be special as well. We came in and didn't want to wait on a tableand eating in the back was great in its own right. Only one other couple at the bar and the bar tende was delightful and of course the food was terrific. If you want to feel welcomed and well fed and have the few extra bucks to do the French thing .... go for it.

 

Thursday nite is 2 for 1 entrees.. A bargain..nless you are like me and make up for the bargain with extra wine and dessert!

I went there after work the other day and it was such a pleasant experience that I feel compelled to write it up. I had the creps and I didn't know that they could be that good.
