I've never eaten here. I'm just so offended by their caustic, yellow neon sign that I would never, ever eat here. I am not easily put off by appearances, but such wastefulness of energy in an increasingly green neighborhood, such an eyesore at night, such an out-of-place, Vegas-like glare is so out-of touch that it's hard to imagine that they haven't been forced to turn it off. I've never heard anything positive about the sushi, and since Yamato is good and Taro is great, why eat here?

I ate here before the renovation and it was nothing special. Now I cross the street just to avoid walking near it--so heinous.

Hmmm...when my friends decided on meeting up at Hanabi, I was a little skeptical because of the two negative reviews. But I was pleasantly surprised. First off, I would like to say that the comments about the neon sign have really been overly exaggerated. And the much larger, much more power wasting Starbucks logo is no less offensive than this. Anyways, to get to the food, I didn't think it was the best sushi/sashimi I've had but it was also not the worst. And the service was very good... the host actually gave us a large bottle of sake on the house and properly accomodated our group of eight. The place has a good vibe and ambience, the toilet was very zen like and the tables came with a bottle of S Pellegrino... enough to make me happy. I had a great time and so did my friends. Would certainly go again.

Not sure why others find the sign so offensive - but who cares. The sushi is amazing. Plus, the Peruvian fusion mix makes this place unique, affordable, and delicious. I would compare it to Sushi Sen Nin in Manhattan: the fish is almost as good, but the price is much more reasonable. Staff is friendly and courteous. We go all the time and have never been dissapointed. Order any sushi dish and try the octopus salad appetizer.
