I went here just after it opened. Appreciated all the organic menu items, but found the pizza disappointing, especially for the price. The service was crappy. But perhaps now that they have been open for a while they have worked out some of the kinks? I would give them a second chance.

Wretched service, fabulous appetizers (especially the frittata) and cocktails, overrated pizza that still beats anything else in the slope.

This place is overrated and over priced. I enjoy the fresh produce and love the coctails but unfortunatly it's the kind of place that you don't spend under $60 for a couple. I probably would go there more often if it wasn't for the hight prices... then again perhaps the reason one spends so much money there is that everything looks so fantastic ... I don't know I have very mixed feelings about the place.

The crostini I had here was fantastic and the pizza is quite good as well. Yes, it's a little overpriced and it seems to ALWAYS BE CLOSED (or I just have bad timing) but like someone else said: it's much better than anything else in the area. Especially 5th Avenue Pizza. NEVER EAT AT 5th AVE PIZZA.

I think it's great.  I've never had a problem with the service, and have actually found them to be one of the friendliest places in the neighborhood. Moreover, it's the only place I trust enough to eat anything on the menu with the assumption that it will be good.

My boyfriend and I go there some early evenings when we want to treat ourselves.  We sit at the bar and order wine, one brucetta each and share a pizza.  It's more than enough food and we get out of there without feeling like we have spent a fortune.  Plus, you get to people watch and chat with the nice bartenders (who give us free samples of the weird liquors).

Excellent, authentic Italian (not Italian-American) brick oven pizza with the freshest local ingredients. Yes, it's more expensive, but you get higher quality ingredients. I also like that, while we waited for a table at the bar, the bartender let us try a few wines to see which we liked.

I always found the service at the tables and bar to be professional and competent.  Great wines, fabulous pizza, fantastic ingredients.  You get what you pay for.

Franny's has been busy each time that I've gone and I've had some issues with walking all the way there only to find that it's closed, but the food is worth it. The first time I went I had a ricotta, mint and peas crostini that was unbelievably delicious and the pizza has been impressive as well. I've never been disappointed with the food at Franny's.

This place is total hit or miss. At times I've been there and had great pizza, other times, burnt, bland crap. Very unreliable.
